Public Access

The public are allowed to use the commons in accordance with the Commons Bye Laws. This includes but is not limited to, recreation and historically grazing for animals by arrangement.

Chainsawing of trees for firewood is not allowed, but a limited amount of collection of fallen wood (for personal use only) is permitted.

Residents of Torrington are permitted to fish in the River Torridge where it borders the commons

Horse riders are welcome on the commons, but we ask that they do not use the footpaths and use the designated route for horses.
